Blogging Experience

I have never had a blog before, so I didn´t know how it works, when Claudia post we had to changed the color of our blog I had to find out how to do it, yes I´m pretty dumb for this things, actually I have a account in Twitter and I don´t use it because it is a little complicated for me. Well my experience was pretty good, I thing that is necessary to learn other language, is necessary to practice the language, thus we can improve our English skill. I thing that we had to write the blog more times, because is something that really help us to learn, despite of sometimes I really didn´t have time to write in the blog. I learned Spanish because I had to speak, It was like a obligation to speak, thus I learned, and to learn English is the same, we have to practice always, and writing in the blog we can practice. I liked the topics of the blog, there were topics very interesting, very funny, and topics that I didn´t think about it before. It was interesting make a reflection about my future as a health professional, is something that I usually don´t think because I see this future far away. When we had to write about a web site, I had to find one and I liked the one that I found, it´s very funny. So I think that is a great idea create a blog and use it to learn English, we could improve our grammar skills. And I hope that this CFG keep the use of the blog. So I´m happy to say that I have learned something more, more English, I have written something funny through this blog. So Thaks Claudia.

The ideal job

I think that doesn´t exist a ideal profession or an ideal job, you can feel very good and love your profession and your job and this job will be the best job, for example if you think that to be a politician is the best job because the politicians work a little bit of time and they earn a lo lot of money, but if you don´t like political topics you won´t enjoy the “ideal job”. So the idela job is the one that you really like it, you really enjoy it, doesn´t matter if you earn little money, but if you feel the job like a hobby, you won´t work, you go to the job to get fun. Other factors you consider is the job atmosphere, is very important that you feel good with your partner. So I consider that medicine is the ideal job, and I think that others health professionals have to be involved with my job, because a doctor don´t work alone, a doctor can´t do everything alone, he need help and for example a nurse will be helpful or some health professional. Medicine is the best job, because you are making a better society helping people to heal, helping people with piece of advices, etc and you won´t be a millionaire but you will have money for a lot of things. I pretend to be a physician for ever, I want to be a surgeon, and if a like it, I will enjoy it, and if I enjoy I will preserve this job for ever.

Free Topic

I´m going to talk about Facebook. Facebook is a website where you can share a lot of things with your friends, I mean you can post a song that you like and you want to show it to the others, you can share photos, people can comment this photos, the majority are funny pictures. There are a lot of things you can do on Facebook. In my opinion the best is that you can contact to friends, to an old friend, I have recovered some people what I meet 10 years ago, it´s amazing, I´m happy for that, and if your friends use Facebook too, and if you want to contact them, you just find them on facebook and write something and they will contact to you, it´s sound the best thing of the world, but in the other hand, there is something really bad to us, specially to a student, Facebook is worse than a drug, it is really really really addictive, many people usually say “God, I did not studied yesterday, because I was on Facebook” It´s necessary check facebook every day, when I arrive, the first that I do is turn on the computer and my brain is just thinking in facebook, It´s like addiction to know what are my contacts doing now on facebook.
Some people say that facebook is a unsafe place, because a unknown person can check your profile and read you have done and see your photos and the worst they read the persona information, this is really dangerous, everybody can now you and use this information. So I like facebook, it is a interesting website , but you have to care yourself about the information you expose on facebook.

Education and prevention in health care

Talk about the health system in Chile is difficult because, Chilean society is where the people is classified according stratum, you earn a lot of money so you can have a better health protection, a better health care in the other hand, people without money are vulnerable, if they have a chronic disease, they won´t have the same possibility than the rich ones to heal.
There a problem in the system, so as a health professional, maybe we can´t make news laws or something like that, maybe we can, but the little details make the difference, we can promote the prevention. I have to admit that some people are not interested in health topics; they think that they can have bad habits like drink alcohol or smoke and won´t have a disease, in this people is very difficult educate them, but some people watch on TV an ad of the Ministerio de Salud and they think about the ad and change tha bad habits. I think that an ad on TV or Radio, a poster in a bus o the subway can help. But, in my opinion, the better way to educate a population is talking with the person, face to face, explain the details, the person should want make questions, and in this way we can teach people to care them self and have a better prevention of disease. We can talk about the nutrition, bad habits, the benefit of do exercises, etc. And make that they change bad habits.

My favourite subject

I really like a subject called "Introducción a la Clínica" because it is the place when I feel closer to medicine. Actually this subject makes feel that I really study medicine, more than other subjects of first year o second year. At the beginning I thought it´s was other boring topic, where a doctor speaks about how is the medical business or the health´s staff, but it was not like I was thinking, because in “Intro” we learn how to be a doctor, what things is better to do or say when a doctor is dealing with a patient, we realize the real role of a doctor for the society, a doctor has to relieve pain, to heal a injuries, to keep company with a patient if he needs, helps in every things we can .
In second year of medicine, the most important subject is physiology, where we learn symptoms of some kind of diseases or the mechanics of the hormones, but physiology does not make me feel like a doctor. In “Intro” the teacher usually says that a medical interview is more important than the fact of thinking in a possible diagnostic, She says that as a doctor we must make that the patient trusts us, that they feels comfortable, so the patient can tell us the symptoms or a sign that helps to discover the desease.
Besides “Intro” we can discuss a lot of things, ethics or clinical cases.

I think that subjects like “Introducción a la Clínica” makes me ask myself if I really can be a physician, a good one.Because you can get knowledge but if you do not have communicational skills with the patient you will not be a good doctor.

My future as a health professional

I wanted to study medicine since when I was a child, I never said I wanted to be a astronaut like a normal boy. So I have greats expectations about the carrear I want to be a helpful person for the society, I think that in this life everyone has a rol in the society, and this rol has to help. I decided to become a doctor because I want to be the persona who prevent people of the illness, who heal injuries, a bleed, or a psychological problem. I want to be who help a patient to carry on. If I couldn´t do anything else to help, I want to be the one who keep patient company and hear him or help him in other area of life. I want the doctor rol for me.
Once I finish the career I would like work as “Médico General de Zona” for several years because I think it will be very interesting, even funny.
I loved to recommend this career a friend, maybe not medicine, I think that health career is a interesting career.
After being “medico general de Zona” I would like to keep study a speciality. I want to be a surgeon. But it is a long time to be a surgeon, so I don´t think a lot about it.

Correction The person I admire in my field.

The person that I admire is GALENO DE PÉRGAMO, a greek doctor. He was born in 130 AD. When he was young he was interested in severeal area of knowledge like astronomy, agriculture, architecture until he knew the medicine and he focus on health area. He is very famous.He wrote a lot of about anatomy, he proposed new theory about anatomy. His knowledge became like "the bible of anatomy" to all the dortors of the Midle Ages. Also he was very asmired beacause of his intelligence. He changed the way disease was perceived.
I like him because he was brave to come up with new revolutionary ideas about medicine despite the lack of knowledge of his time.
His discovers was wrong, but his theories were better that the Hipocrate´s theories.
This is the reason that I admire him.

Someone I admire

The person of my field that I admire is GALENO DE PÉRGAMO, a classic doctor of Greece. He was born in 130 AC. When he was young he was interested on several area of scient, like astronomy, agriculture, architecture but then he knew the medicine and he focus on health area. He is very famous, he wrote a lot of things about anatomy, he discovered new data about anatomy. And his knowledge was like a "anatomy law" for all midle ages a lot of doctor of this moment admire him, beacause he was pretty inteligent. He established a new theory about illness.
I like him because he was brave to establish new knowledge about medicine in spite of in this ages say something like that is to a insane person.
His discovers were wronth, but his theory, were better than Hipócrates, and this si the reason that I admire him.

Career-related Website

I have to admit I didn´t visit a medicine´s website. But for this task I have been searching someone and I found a really interesting website, is NIH (National Institutes of Health). It´s amazing because the website can tell me some disease and his symptom, I think is very useful for people are not doctor o somebody related whith a health career. I can find researches and news about health. I will visit it if I have time to do it. If you aks me what is the best thing of this website, I would say that the links is put in order, I mean there are a child health´s link, a adult health´s link, etc.
Definitely, I will talk to my friends about this website, because is really good.

Earthquake

Try to write about the earthquake is easy because there are a lot of things to say, to describe it as a fact that will be on the mind in our life forever, but is hard explain which are the feelings in this moment. To be honest, I didn´t react when the earthquake came, during this three long minutes I didn´t know what to do, I was thinking “that´s all, I will die” Maybe I´m being a little exaggerate but when the earthquake comes in the night when you´re sleeping and the fact that I live in a building, you feel that your dept is gonna go to pieces and the only feeling on your mind is “I didn´t live enough”

Nobody knew the earthequake caused, when we saw on TV people from Concepción we were speechless. In this moment I wished be a doctor and go to help people, because this is the reason that I´m studding for. But I didn´t do anything like this, so with my friends we went to Paine to help to clean some house, taking off the rubble.

We know that 2035 a new earthquake is gonna come, so I wish for these time to be prepared and ne a doctor to really help people.

Introdution

Well, my name is Chu Long Yuan, I´m a chinesse, I arrived to Chile fourteen years ago. I´m a student of medicine of the University De CHILE. Something about me, I´m pretty happy with my university (I have to say that I studied in other uni) I like people of the university. In sports, I love basketball, I used to watch all match of NBA, I like soccer too, I play it when I can. But now I have no time for sports, I do not mean I really have no time, but i preffer spend my free time to sleep, I am a lazy person. And I have to admit that I love Mc Donalds, so I go to eat junk food very often.

With this blog I hope improve my writing english and maybe write things that I usually not write.
